1. Welcome / Introductions

2. Activist Reports

Nick: Working on Stop Top 2 campaign to repeal the Top Two Candidates Open Primary Law. Spoke at the RWSFF monthly dinner a few weeks ago to ~100 people about the initiative for the repeal.

Aubrey: Working on the October newsletter. Went to the annual Mises celebration dinner where Steve Horowitz was a speaker. Well worth it! There is a good “free market” movement going on in San Jose / SJSU.

Les: Written several letters to the Chronicle but none of them get published anymore.

3. Announcements

GGLR: Lecture by Chris Silber: “The Great Depression-- Austrian, Keynesian & Monetarist View” (Part 2 of 2)
Richmond District Police Station Community Room
461 6th Avenue, Monday October 23- 7:00 - 9:00PM

4. Membership / Newsletter Report

21 Lifetime members / 20 regular members = 41 members total

Aubrey sent newsletter to 325 people and got 2 bounces. Got a few new email addresses for the next one.

5. Website Report

Current hosting at SiteGround is expiring soon! (21 Oct?)

Suggesting that we move to another hosting service, Linode.com

Vote to move our hosting to Linode from Siteground, Phil, Aubrey, Starchild, and NIck vote aye. Motion passes. Lpsf.org will be updated soon

We should start posting our events on the meetup group regularly, and they will get imported to the LPSF website within an hour or so.

6. Treasurer’s Report
Paypal: $1506.14
Bank of America: closed
SFCU: $4313.94
Total: $5820.08

7. Next Meeting Location

Our next meeting on November 11th will be on Veteran’s Day, so the LIbrary will be closed.

Starchild will see if we can get the space at 11th and Folsom where the SF Liberty Coalition will be meeting.

Mike Denny has also volunteered for us to meet at his house in the Richmond.

Phil also volunteers his place at Fox Plaza, just near the Library.

Looks like we will meet at Phil’s apartment, we will follow up with details on how to get there.

8. Board of Supervisors Meetings

We are trying to get people to go to the Board of Supervisors meetings. The Supervisors website is actually very useful now, with video recordings of the meetings, full voting records, etc. Starchild set this up as a regular meeting, and himself and Leo only have gone to a couple of meetings. Starchild suggests we incentivize people to go by paying them. We’re not sure the legal ramifications of this.

9. Phil Ting Community Coffee

"Assemblymember Phil Ting invites you to come enjoy a cup of coffee and bring your questions regarding legislative issues.”

Saturday, October 21, 10:00-11:30 AM at West Portal Elementary School at 5 Lenox Way

Monday, November 6, 6:00-7:30 PM at Doelger Senior Center at 101 Lake Merced Blvd. in Daly City

10. Gun Show Tabling November 18-19
